Supporting young people's sexual health

About us

Working to improve the sexual health and wellbeing of young people across Lothian.

Healthy Respect is a small team within Public Health, NHS Lothian.

We work in partnership with a wide range of organisations to provide:

  • relationships and sexual health training opportunities to anyone working with children and young people in Lothian
  • up to date sexual health and wellbeing information
  • support to deliver accessible sexual health services, for example providing free condoms, pregnancy testing and testing for some sexually transmitted infections (STIs)

Healthy Respect influences policy and practice related to young people’s sexual health and wellbeing by working with other health boards, the Scottish Government and the third sector.
