Parents & Caregivers Resource List (Primary Level)

General resources

The Chat

The Chat is here to help you to support your child as they learn about friendships, relationships and growing up. You can look for what you need depending on the age of your child, the topic they are interested in, or the questions they ask.

RSHP.scot

RSHP.scot is the national RSHP curriculum resource for Scotland. The resource is open access, meaning schools and parents can look at the resource together and talk about which elements of the curriculum will be delivered in each school year.

To help schools plan what is delivered, and to make sure it is appropriate for each age and stage it is organised in Levels. Information leaflets are provided at each level about Learning at School and Learning at Home. Just scroll to the bottom of each ‘level’ page to find these. The learning at home leaflets provide helpful advice for supporting your child’s learning at home including key phrases and recommended books you can read with your child.

Parent Club

Through pregnancy to the teenage years, Parent Club is here to help, offering tips and advice for all the challenges that come with family life. All the advice, information and tips on the website have been approved by child and family experts and the NHS.

Their Family, Friends & Relationships page contains information to help parents talk to their child at different stages about a range of RSHP topics such as puberty, consent, sex, relationships & equality.
